Scottish Bands Contest & Festival of Music
Saturday 4th April 2026On Saturday 28th March the Scottish Bands Contest & Festival of Music took place Hutchesons’ Grammar School in Glasgow.
The event brought together BB bands from across Scotland, with contests taking place for both Pipe and Marching Bands across Open and Development categories in each.
Also taking place was the Festival of Music, a category open to ensembles of any instrumentation, not competing against each other but rather being awarded Bronze, Silver or Gold assessments by the judges.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the event happen, and well done to all those who took part and put on a range of fantastic performances!
Congratulations to the winners in the Bands Contest, who were as follows:
Marching Band (Development): 130th Glasgow
Marching Band (Open): 25th Stirling
Pipe Band (Development): 1st Troon
Pipe Band (Open): 1st Troon
Mallets: 25th Stirling
Wishaw & District Battalion (Bronze Plus) and 25th Stirling (Silver Plus) were awarded assessments in the Festival of Music.
