The Boys’ Brigade’s Trustees are known as the ‘Brigade Executive’. This is made up of elected representatives from the three ‘regions’ of BB UK & RoI – England & Wales, Republic of Ireland and Scotland.
Find out a bit more about each of our Trustees below.
Andrew Baldwin (England & Wales)
Andrew started his career in banking, before moving into sales, working for both small and large companies, including Unilever and the SHS Group. As national account manager for a premium fruit juice company, he looked after some of the largest businesses in the UK, including Bookers, Yo Sushi and Molson Coors. He has set up and built several businesses from scratch, recognising the importance of great customer service and delivering on promises.
Through personal experience Andrew believes that networking and partnership working can add greatly to what we can offer our young people and is a passionate believer in the positive experience that BB can and should be.
Lee Bird (Co-option)
Lee is a governance professional and currently works in healthcare regulation. He has represented the Brigade nationally through the Youth United Network and at the House of Commons as part of the All-Party Parliamentary Group.
Lee Brodie (Scotland)
Lee has experience as a manager in the private, public and third sectors, and is currently working as a supervisory police officer. Within the Police he has worked within communities across Scotland, with particular experience of youth and multi-agency work.
Outside of the police, he has a number of interests including sport, particularly Korfball which he began playing at Edinburgh University, and has served on the board of the Scottish Korfball Association.
The BB has been an important part of Lee’s life for many years, and he hopes that he can bring the experiences he has had within BB and outside the organisation, to serving as a Trustee.
Alison Chambers (Scotland)
Rev Stewart Cutler (Chaplain)
Stewart studied Community Education at Strathclyde University, before serving in youth development roles in both the Church of Scotland and the United Reformed Church. He has a Masters in Social Research, and is studying at the moment for a Masters in Contemporary Christian Leadership.
Currently Stewart serves as the minister of St Ninian’s Church in Stonehouse, encouraging people to work together to grow and flourish in faith. His own BB journey began when his parents and their friends established 4th Carluke. He holds the Queen’s Badge and Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and is the Chaplain and an active leader in 1st Stonehouse.
Between all of that he enjoys playing football and good coffee, going to gigs, and walking two Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers.
Jaime Ellis (England & Wales)
Jaime is an associate director of Software Quality & Test, where he focuses on people management, strategising, quality and compliance.
He was brought up in a Christian, BB family which has led to his passion for the Vision, Mission and Values of the BB and giving back to an organisation that gave him so much.
Attending events such as Firm Foundations, KGVI, New Horizons helped him not only build his skills but also on his faith journey, which is why he is a huge supporter of current events like Unite and Young Leaders Network, so our young people and our leaders of the future have the same experiences and passions.
Very Rev Dr Martin Fair (Co-Chair; Co-option)
Martin spent 31 years in parish ministry in Arbroath and also served as Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in 2020-2021. He now works in a national Church role focusing on recruiting and training the leaders of tomorrow.

Gavin Rothwell (Republic of Ireland)
Ian Rumbelow (Co-Chair; England & Wales)
Ian has recently retired from his most recent role of Headteacher working latterly with local authorities and academy trusts to support schools in special measures. He lives in rural Somerset where he is the founder Captain of a local BB/GA group and worships at an independent evangelical fellowship. His spare time is spent with a small herd of goats and sheep, on the allotment, walking and travelling.
