As part of our support to leaders ahead of the new session we are running three themed webinars as part of our ‘Open To… Campaign’ which will explore different areas to help Companies raise their visibility locally to support growth. Our Development Team are also running more informal drop in sessions during August and September, which will provide a great opportunity to ask questions and share ideas on plans for the new session.

This webinar will focus on Social Media, and use of Facebook with the aim of increasing members’ confidence in using this platform to support you raising your Company’s profile in the community, supporting recruitment, fundraising and communication with parents/carers. Leaders from two different Companies will share their experiences of using social media.

This webinar will focus on Schools, building positive relationships with and developing confidence in approaching local schools, using different ways to communicate the message of your Company and having the tools to do so. Leaders from 1st Rosehearty and 1st Howden will share their experiences of engaging with their local schools.

The webinar will provide examples and ideas of how you can be visible within your local community and the benefits this can bring. Leaders from 86th Glasgow and 1st/2nd Mid Suffolk will share their experiences of engaging with their local communities.

Due to the uncertainty around when restrictions will be eased, the decision has been taken to hold the meeting via video conferencing again this year.

The event will take place on Saturday 4th September 2021 at 2pm and will build on the virtual format used last year. The afternoon will include the organisation’s Annual General Meeting, a focus on the experiences of the past twelve months, as well as looking ahead as we implement our new five-year strategy. There will also be the opportunity to worship together.
