At the start of the 2024/25 football season, we challenged Company & Seniors across the country to put their football knowledge to the test in our ‘Top of the League’ competition.
This saw young people sitting down to try and successfully predict how the two biggest football leagues in the UK might look by the end of the season. Young people were tasked with giving each team in the Premier League and/or Scottish Premiership a predicted final league position. Scores were then given to each young person based on how successful their predictions ended up being.
Throughout the 2024/25 football season we have been providing monthly updates on those predictions, as the teams moved up and down the tables. With the football season now finished, we are ready to announce the winners of both of our competitions.
The competition had over 800 entries (570 Premier League & 240 Scottish Premiership), all competing to be crowned ‘Top of the League’ champion at the end of the season. Our congratulations go to our two winners.
Premier League Champion – Joseph Poynter (17th Teesside)
Scottish Premiership Champion – Alfie Sheridan (1st/3rd Renfrew)
Both of these young people received a £50 Amazon voucher and a certificate as a prize for their success.
