Changes to our Programme Hub
We’ve made a few changes to the way the programme looks over the last couple of months, ready for this new term. Whilst the quality and quantity of our programme has not changed, some changes to how it is accessed and looks have taken place.
- Activity Cards – All the programme activities from Autumn 2024 onwards will now be web-based only, with the downloadable activity cards no longer being produced. These were originally created for when the programme was physically printed and sent out. Now this no longer takes place, we have moved to a web-based format.
- More Content within Activities – By moving to a web-based format this now means we are less restricted by space, as we were on physical activity cards. The benefit of this is that we can now include more detailed instructions for activities, as well as additional ‘Did You Know?’ facts, ‘Take it Further’ ideas & more suggestions for keeping everyone safe.
- Printer Friendly – We’ve received a lot of feedback about making the programme more printer friendly. We’re pleased that this is now possible. Leaders can print from any activity page, with it now using far less ink than before. Additionally, leaders can scale the page (i.e. 75% scale) in their printer settings, to help reduce the number of pages being printed.
- Save as PDF – Should leaders wish to save activities as PDFs then this is still possible. To do this, press the ‘print’ option on your browser, then select ‘Save as PDF’, where you would normally select the printer.
- Activity Sheets – We have now moved our ‘Activity Sheets’ (i.e. wordsearches, puzzles, colouring sheets etc) into our main ‘Activities’ area. This is to help make them easier to find and match to the programmes that you are creating.
- Themed Programme Area – We’ve now created a ‘Themed Programmes’ area on the Programme Hub, helping you to look through activities that form part of a themed programme. We’ve also split out all the themed programme activities into individual activities on the Programme Hub. This means you can quickly find lots more games, Bible activities, craft ideas and more, with a quick search or filter. Previously many of these activities would not have shown when searching for ideas, as they were hidden within themed programmes.
We would of course continue to welcome feedback on the Programme Hub, as we continue to enhance the functionality. Please send your feedback to programme@boys-brigade.org.uk
