The Easter Course is an event organised by the European Fellowship of Christian Youth which this year is being hosted by The Boys’ Brigade UK & RoI, and we’re looking for four people aged 18-30 to take part and represent BB.
In 2024, a group of BB young leaders had a great time at the Easter Course in Transylvania, and we’re pleased to once again offer this opportunity in 2026.
This year’s training focuses on empowering young people and youth workers in the digital age, with a strong emphasis on media presence, digital awareness, and practical content creation. Participants will explore how digital platforms and algorithms influence visibility and behaviour, strengthen their media literacy and ability to identify disinformation, and gain hands-on experience in planning, producing, editing, and publishing social media contents including the use of digital and AI tools.
The course is highly practical and teamwork-oriented. Through rotating roles (such as scripting, production, editing, captioning, and publishing/analytics), participants will simulate the work of a real social media team and collaboratively create content. By the end of the training, each participant will contribute to at least one piece of content and develop an action plan for applying the acquired skills within their own local group This is a fantastic opportunity to meet young leaders from different Christian youth organisations across Europe to share ideas, have fun and learn new skills.
The course costs £70 to attend, which covers all accommodation, food and activity costs with participants needing to sort travel arrangements to Manchester Airport or Manchester Piccadilly Train Station where you will be transported onto Kirkham. A reimbursement of up to £100 is available to support travel costs.
If you are interested, please contact Vaughan Staples at BBHQ on v.staples@boys-brigade.org.uk who will be happy to share more information and register your interest. The closing date is 24th February 2026.
