As part of our ‘My SuperPower: Love‘ themed programme for Anchors, we challenged children to think about how great God’s love for us is. Anchors were tasked with trying to create the largest heart they can, using everyday objects such as games equipment, clothing, furniture, bodies and more.
Over the Spring term we had lots of entries into this competition, with Anchors using their imagination to show just how wide and long, high and deep God’s love for us really is! The challenge was inspired by Ephesians 3:18.
“I pray that you can understand how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is.”
Our ‘My Superpower Love’ themed programme helps Anchors to understand how love, one of the fruits of the spirit, is a God given superpower. This is part of a series of themed programmes centred on the fruits of the spirit, that we are currently releasing each term for Anchors.
The second programme in the series, My SuperPower: Kindness’ was released in the Summer term, with out next in the series forming part of our Autumn 2025 term. Make sure to check out that programme later on this year!
There were some fantastic entries into our Wide, Long, High & Deep Love Challenge, with the Anchors at 7th South East Essex being crowned champions. They have been sent a certificate and a voucher to spend on equipment at their group.
