The start of a new term is here, as we begin our Summer 2024 term. To assist leaders in delivering high quality programme activities to our children & young people, we have launched the Summer 2024 programme.
The Summer programme covers from May through to the end of August and provides leaders with 32 activity cards & themed programmes. Below we take a look at some of our Summer 2024 programme highlights.
Head to our Programme Hub to check out all the resources for Summer 2024.
Our Summer 2024 programme for Anchors has lots for them to enjoy across their six Activity Cards and two Themed Programmes.
Some of the highlights include:
Butterfly Feeders: Our butterflies are in danger of losing their habitats. Help protect them by creating a feeding station, where you can spot and record the butterflies that visit.
The Lost Sheep: Explore the Parable of the Lost Sheep with our themed programme, using a mix of games, crafts and activities. This programme has been written in partnership with the Young Leaders Network, as part of their ‘Spotlight’ week (13th to 19th May).
Other highlights for Anchors include Pick Up Prayers, The Life Cycle of a Sunflower, Busy Bees theme & ‘I Love you Like Chips‘.
Across our Summer 2024 programme, Juniors will have the opportunity to learn about Nelson Mandela, explore the Summer Solstice, put their lip-reading skills to the test and create some paper plane prayers.
Some of the other highlights include:
Animal Footprints: Get to know the difference between footprints that animals leave behind. Can you tell the difference between a fox, dog, rabbit and squirrel? Will you be able to find animal prints of your own in the wild?
At the Museum: Take a trip to the Museum, exploring history, art, science and so much more in our mixture of activities. Which museum will be your favourite to visit? Link with International Museum Day (18th May 2024).
Our Company highlights for Summer 2024 include becoming tie dye designers, finding out about ‘The Perfect Father‘, celebrating the Summer Olympics, and much more!
Some of the other highlights include:
Paddlesports: Get to know more about paddlesports, such as canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding, by learning some key terms and finding your way around some of the different crafts. A partnership card with The Boys’ Brigade Canoe Club.
Taking a Lead: Take on some leadership focussed activities, using this themed programme. This programme has been written in partnership with the Young Leaders Network, as part of their ‘Spotlight’ week (13th to 19th May).
Our Seniors programme encourages this age group to get involved with activities and projects, including creating an end of year highlights reel, spending a night outdoors and taking on a gardening project.
Some of the other highlights include:
Exams & God: Exams are tough and they can be a stressful time. Learning how to cope with this pressure, and how we can lean on God for support and strength, is an important part of navigating this significant part of your lives.
Euro 2024: The men’s UEFA Euro 2024 tournament kicks off in Germany this summer. Use our themed programme to find out more about the teams competing, and a good excuse to put your football skills into action too.
