Opportunity for young people in England: Youth Advisory Board

As part of the Uniformed Youth Fund which The Boys’ Brigade was recently awarded funding from, a Youth Advisory Board is being created that will support the evaluation of the projects being funded and the impact that uniformed youth groups have on young people.

This opportunity is open to young people (aged 16-18) who are currently part of the BB in England.

Advisory Board members will:

• Work alongside the research team to provide advice and ideas from a youth perspective
• Influence decision about how the research and evaluation is done
• Have opportunities to learn about social research, data collection and interpretation

Natalie Whipday, the BB’s Director for Operations, said: “This is an amazing opportunity for two young people within the BB in England to develop their knowledge, skills and experiences. As well as getting to meet young people from other organisations, they will also be working alongside research professionals and government officials.”
