Your Future Programmes
Friday 9th December 2022We are pleased to have launched our ‘Your Future’ Programmes, which has been produced in partnership with the University of Bolton to help raise the aspirations of young people in The Boys’ Brigade and support them in exploring, planning and making decisions that will help them become who they want to be.
Rev Dez Johnston, Brigade President, and Baroness Newlove, Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Bolton, recently visited 35th Liverpool to officially launch the programmes and see some of the activities in action.
Dez said: “We want all our young people to live their best lives and to raise aspirations and these programmes are a great way to bridge the gap between youth education and Higher Education. I have been really impressed with how young people are engaging with it and the feedback so far has been fantastic!”
Baroness Newlove said of the launch event: “It is fantastic to see all these young people getting involved and watching them all having such fun while learning. I was totally blown away by their involvement in understanding aspects of future decisions to go to university. It is crucial to support young people to help them develop and to realise their full potential.”
