Celebrating the Platinum Jubilee
Friday 29th July 2022The District was delighted to host a Jubilee Cream Tea at Newport as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Among the guests were former members who had served the Brigade in Northern Ireland faithfully for many years in various roles including committee chairpersons, trainers and expedition leaders.
Guests included Mrs Jean Nevin, wife of the late former District President Professor Norman Nevin who served from 1992 to 2014, as well as the wife and daughters of Alex Hunter, former Director of The Boys’ Brigade in Northern Ireland. Lots of stories were shared and old friends had the chance to meet up again.
