Virtual Youth Leader Training

Youth Leader Training will enable participants to deliver the BB mission by equipping them with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to work effectively with children and young people.

The main theme of Youth Leader Training is the building and maintaining of trusting relationships with children and young people. From this basis flow the other aspects of Christian youth work; sharing faith, safe working practices, participation and empowerment and equal opportunities. There are modules covering all these issues within Youth Leader Training.

This course is being facilitated by BB Headquarters and will take place as follows:

• Saturday 10th October, 10:00am to 11:15am: My Role in the BB
• Saturday 10th October, 11:30am to 12:20pm: Equal Opportunities
• Saturday 10th October, 12:30pm to 2:30pm: Working with Under 11s
• Saturday 10th October, 12:30pm to 2:30pm: Working with Over 11s
• Saturday 17th October, 10:00am to 12:30pm: Programme Planning
• Saturday 17th October, 12:40pm to 2:10pm: Sharing Faith
• Wednesday 21st October, 7:00pm to 8:30pm: Managing Risk
• Thursday 22nd October, 6:30pm to 9:15pm: Safeguarding
• Thursday 22nd October, 9:15pm to 9:30pm: Safeguarding Scottish add on

Participants will choose one out of the ‘Working with Under 11s’ and ‘Working with Over 11s’ modules and must complete this along with all modules to complete YLT.
