Safeguarding & Managing Risk (Central London)

The Safeguarding & Managing Risk Modules (Modules 4 & 5 of Youth Leader Training) are being offered as standalone courses for leaders who wish to upskill themselves or refresh their knowledge.

The Safeguarding module aims to enable participants to protect children and young people by raising awareness of Safeguarding & Child Protection issues and to know their responsibilities in this area.

The Managing Risk module aims to enable participants to create a safe environment for children and young people and ensure that activities are organised and delivered safely.

These modules satisfy the mandatory training requirements that have been introduced for Warrant Officers, Helpers and Residential Activity Helpers, which build on and are in addition to the e-learning modules that all leaders have been required to complete.

This course is being organised by London District as part of their Refresh Training Day and is open to any registered leader. It is possible to attend for the full day or just to complete the Safeguarding and Managing Risk modules.
