BB groups across the country have been taking part in a range of activities to link to Children’s Mental Health Week (6th to 12th February 2023).

Now in its ninth year, Children’s Mental Health Week is an initiative which was launched in 2015 by the charity Place2Be to shine a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health.

As part of our termly programme for the Spring 2023 term, fully resourced activity cards were provided for each of our four age groups to support leaders in exploring the topic of mental health with their groups.

These activities enable children and young people to think about their feelings and emotions, how to look after their mental health and what support is available to them, all in a safe and caring environment.

Jonathan Eales, our Chief Executive, said:

“Children and young people in The Boys’ Brigade come from a range of backgrounds and have different needs and abilities. It’s so important that our programme supports their health and wellbeing, giving young people a space to explore how to cope with tough moments in their lives.”
