BB groups get involved in Hello Yellow 2026

Today (9th October) is Hello Yellow, and in recent days BB groups across the country have been getting involved to show young people that they’re not alone with their mental health.

Hello Yellow is YoungMinds’ annual campaign to raise awareness and funds to support young people’s mental health, and it has been great to see BB members wearing yellow, taking part in yellow-themed activities and holding fundraising events as part of it.

Examples include 1st Torrance, who held a Coffee Morning for their local community with tea, coffee and homemade cakes, raising over £800 in support of YoungMinds’ vital work.

Members of 10th Enfield have had a busy week, with some of their age groups taking on a Sponsored Bouncathon and others collectively completing a 26k Sponsored Run. In addition, they got creative by baking and decorating yellow-themed cakes for an upcoming Church service.

As well as fundraising events, lots of groups have been a part of it through our Hello Yellow themed programmes which have been developed for each age group as part of our termly programme resources, enabling them to think about how they’re not alone, what it means to support their friends with their mental health, and how Jesus is our ultimate friend.

Fundraising Challenge

Through our Fundraising Challenge, we’ve been encouraging our groups to take part in a year of fundraising, learning, and action to support YoungMinds’ vital work.

YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity championing the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. They provide vital support, raise awareness, and campaign for better understanding and services, ensuring every young person has somewhere to turn.

If you’re a BB leader and your group has not yet got involved, it’s not too late to do so!

Our FREE Fundraising Pack contains a range of resources and tools to help make your fundraising a success, including banners, posters, flyers, a Winning Emoji Game and Fundraising Quiz Sheets.

Also available are a series of programme resources themed around Hello Yellow and young people’s mental health, with a range of ideas and activities to get involved with.
