Buckingham Palace Garden Party
Monday 18th May 2026On Tuesday 12th May a group of Seniors and young leaders had the opportunity to volunteer as stewards at one of this year’s Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace, undertaking a range of duties to help ensure the smooth running of the event.
The Garden Party was hosted by the King and Queen, and was also attended by the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester as well as around 8,000 invited guests, including dignitaries and members of the public.
Elliott Ingram, a young leader at 19th North Staffordshire who was part of the volunteer group, said: “Being able to represent my Company and North Staffordshire Battalion at the King’s Garden Party was the most amazing opportunity. Stewarding for the King and Queen on the day felt like such an honour, and speaking to Queen Camilla is a moment I’ll never forget. I am so proud that I could do this for my Company, Battalion and for The Boys’ Brigade – it’s an experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life.”
