Thrive (Zambia)

Thrive is an international course run by the Global Fellowship of Christian Youth (GF), for young leaders (aged 18-30) from Global Fellowship member organisations – including The Boys’ Brigade UK & RoI.

At Thrive there will be the opportunity to meet young leaders from all across the world and spend some great days together! The programme consists of both formal sessions (e.g. workshops, games, discussions) and more informal social events to get to know other young leaders from across organisations and countries.

During the course, participants will:

• Gain an understanding of cultural diversity, and how to work effectively in a cross-cultural setting.
• Develop leadership skills, including effective communication, team-building, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
• Connect with the wider community and find ways to serve and share the Christian message in relevant ways.

The course will take place at Kaniki, BB Zambia’s Training Centre near Ndola. The course costs is $200 (USD; roughly equivalent to £150) which includes full board (food and stay), the programme, travel during the course and training materials. Participants will have to organise their own travel to/from Ndola. UK Government advice on entry requirements into Zambia can be found here.
