BB groups in Scotland to benefit from additional CashBack for Communities funding
Friday 20th March 2026We are delighted to share that BB groups in Scotland will continue to be able to benefit from CashBack for Communities funding, as part of Phase 7 of the programme which will run from 2026 to 2029.
CashBack for Communities is a Scottish Government programme which uses money recovered from seized criminal assets and reinvests it into communities. The funding supports young people by providing safe spaces, training and activities that build confidence and skills, while also addressing issues that could lead to harm before they develop.
Funding will be available through Location CashBack, a three-year, Scotland-wide, large-scale Youth Leadership and Participation programme which is being delivered by a consortium of Youth Scotland, The Boys’ Brigade in Scotland, Scouts Scotland and Girlguiding Scotland, starting on 1st April 2026.
Location CashBack will support young people (aged 10-25) in selected SIMD 1-2 areas by building on their connection to trusted local youth groups, offering safe spaces, mentoring, personal development and accredited leadership opportunities that open new pathways for learning, life and work.
