National Youth Strategy
Thursday 11th December 2025The UK Government has launched a new National Youth Strategy titled “Youth Matters: Your National Youth Strategy”.
The strategy outlines a variety of commitments to young people and youth services over the next 10 years. Importantly, young people were involved in developing the new strategy and made it made clear what they need most: better mental health support, real-life spaces to connect safely, trusted guidance on education and careers, access to enriching activities, and tools to engage positively online and offline.
Jonathan Eales, Chief Executive of The Boys’ Brigade commented: “We welcome the launch of the new National Youth Strategy. It recognises the value and impact of youth work on young people across the country. Youth organisations like The Boys’ Brigade have a really important part to play in equipping young people to face today’s challenges and supporting them to live their lives to the full.”
