President’s Message Following Nigeria Boys’ Brigade tragedy
Tuesday 23rd April 2019Our President has sent this message to our BB family in Nigeria following news that at least ten members of Gombe Boys’ Brigade have been killed on Sunday evening. It is reported that a car crashed into the group whilst on a procession ahead of Easter celebrations.
The Boys’ Brigade is one big family and it stretches to every corner of the world. So when one part suffers we all feel the pain. The news from Gombe has stunned us. We feel so far away and yet so close to you at this difficult time. We will be asking our members across the United Kingdom and in Ireland to hold you all in their prayers. Please convey our deepest sympathy to the families, the BB leaders and members of the Companies involved. You are in our minds and on our hearts. God bless you all and keep you firmly in the embrace of His love.

This is such tragic news and we from the 13th Croydon will be praying for our brothers and sisters of the Boys Brigade and their families in Nigeria. May those injured be healed and all affected by this may be comforted by the Holy Spirit. Christ died so we may have eternal life by His glorious assension which we celebrated Easter Sunday. No man can separate those who believe in Him no matter how hard they try.
