‘Your Future’ Programmes with The University of Bolton
We’ve launched an exciting new programme resource for the Company & Seniors age groups in partnership with the University of Bolton.
The ‘Your Future’ Programme have been designed to raise the aspirations of young people in The Boys’ Brigade and support them in exploring, planning and making decisions that will help them become who they want to be.
Through the programmes young people will identify and develop their own skills, consider their future goals/dreams, build self-confidence and independence.
Both programmes can be found at boys-brigade.org.uk/your-future/
Supporting Leaders to Deliver the Programmes
Funding secured by the University of Bolton has enabled us to produce and distribute printed resources to support you in delivering the programme.
- A printed 12-page themed programme booklet for each age group
- Printed activity sheets, resources and materials needed for the sessions.
- Additional resources to support (i.e. pack of balloons).
- Access to PowerPoints for each session.
This packs have been sent to leaders-in-charge of Company & Seniors and we hope they will be useful in delivering the programmes.
Other Support, Resources & Competitions
- Monthly Competitions – Get involved with our monthly competitions, linked to a couple of activities within the programme. Send us your photos and the best photo each month will win a £50 prize.
- Adventure Activity Grants (England & Wales only) – Funding secured means we can offer grants of £250 per age group to support delivering an adventurous activity session, as part of the ‘Your Future’ programme.
- Certificates of Recognition – Once the programme is complete, let us know and we can then send young people certificates to recognise them completing the programme. These could make an ideal addition to a young person’s record of achievement (or similar), which can be used for applications, interviews etc going forwards.
You can find both of the ‘Your Future’ programmes, along with lots more information and support at boys-brigade.org.uk/your-future/
