Brigade Staff Team
Friday 10th December 2021Over the last 18 months we’ve learnt a great deal as we have worked through and adapted to one of the biggest challenges the Brigade has faced in 138 years.
Last Spring, using the Government’s Job Retention Scheme the majority of the Brigade’s staff team were placed on Furlough Leave, with the remaining staff working as one team to create and deliver #BBatHOME, provide support to leaders and fulfil all our statutory obligations.
After reflecting on the experiences of operating in this way, with the staff organised as one layer (as opposed to the previous two layers of regional and HQ staff), it was concluded that it would actually be a more effective way of making full use of the skills and experiences of the Brigade’s small staff team to support the delivery our five year strategy and its focus on consistency of quality of experience for children and young people.
We have recently welcomed Jenny Bradley to the role of Communications & Fundraising Officer and Ambika Chadda to the role of Executive Assistant.
We have also said goodbye to three long-standing members of Brigade staff; Irene Davidson, Graham Weston and Eileen Pettigrew. We thank them for their years of service and wish them every blessing for the future.
