Youth Leader Training (Edinburgh)

Youth Leader Training aims to enable participants to deliver the BB mission by equipping them with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to work effectively with children and young people.

This is part 1 of the course, part 2 will take place on Saturday 23rd November 2024. Please note to complete the training participants must attend both sessions. It is being organised by Edinburgh, Leith & District and West Lothian Battalions.

If applicants do not hold a valid current First Aid certificate, they may wish to complete Emergency First Aid training (venue and date TBC). This is normally a half day course and a separate registration form will be available for this.

Tea and coffee will be provided, but participants should bring a packed lunch for Parts 1 & 2.

Each individual registered for Youth Leader Training must at present be active within a Company in a leadership role. Participants will only be permitted to attend the course upon completion of OBM e-learning modules (Managing Risk and Safeguarding). Please note your OBM qualification records will be checked in advance of the course date.

In order to complete arrangements for parts 1 and 2, registration must be submitted to the Edinburgh, Leith & District Battalion Office on pamela.mckay@thebb-edinburgh.org.uk no later than Wednesday 16th October 2024.  Late entries will not be accepted. The registration form link can be found here.
