John Neil OBE
Friday 9th December 2022We are sorry to report that John Neil OBE, Honorary Brigade President, died in November.
John began his BB journey in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire but could have had no idea then of the part the organisation would play in his life. John worked for the Brigade as a Training Officer prior to serving as Glasgow Battalion Secretary from 1980 to 2000. He was a key figure in the arrangements for the Centenary celebrations hosted in Glasgow in 1983.
John was awarded an OBE for services to young people in the 1995 New Year Honours and served as Brigade President from 2004 to 2005.
