Cumbrae Camp
Friday 29th July 2022After a three-year gap Cumbrae Camp returned with 133 young people and leaders from 13 Companies in Scotland hopping on a ferry to the Isle of Cumbrae.
Our friends at Christian Aid ran the “Safe Place Challenge” activity which helped the young people to learn some survival skills and more about the plight of refugees. “It’s a Knockout” proved to be very popular with the weather helping to make it a great day. The weekend’s activities also included cycling round the island, as well as STEM activities such as a crime scene investigation, landmarking and beach games. The congregation of Cumbrae Parish Church joined for the service on the Sunday morning, which was led by Gus McKay and streamed on Facebook. It was great to hear feedback from parents/carers, including:
“Thank you, my child had a brilliant time. Well done to all those who organised the camp!” “My children had an absolute ball at camp. Thanks to all the leaders.”
