Safeguarding – Module 4 (Virtual)

The Youth Leader Training (YLT) Safeguarding module is suitable for all leaders to complete and builds on the mandatory Safeguarding e-learning module. As such it is being delivered as a standalone module, both virtually and face-to-face.

British Canoeing have accepted it as an alternative to their training, for BB leaders who are also instructors. The Church of Scotland have also recognised the module as an alternative to their introductory training. The Church of Scotland Introductory Course will require to be completed if the leader holds any other regulated role within the Church of Scotland.

Captains and Leaders-in-Charge are particularly encouraged to participate in this training to ensure they are as up-to-date with leaders’ responsibilities in safeguarding as new leaders who have recently completed it as part of YLT and should be completed in conjunction with Company Management Training.

Please use the link to book to attend virtual Safeguarding courses being run by BB Headquarters. These sessions run for approximately 2 hours 45 minutes.

For leaders in Scotland, an additional 15 minutes at the end will allow the training to be recognised by the Church of Scotland. Finish time for Scottish participants will be 9.45pm
