What You’ll Need:

  • Adventure Activity Centre or Similar

Getting into the Activity

Get adventurous and take on an adventure activity. The perfect way to get the adrenaline pumping whilst hopefully trying out a new activity.

Adventure activities are a great addition to any programme and usually a highlight for most young people. For this activity you will need to make contact with an adventure activity provider who can offer you professional and safe activities.

Beforehand find out what activities the provider can offer and then talk to your group about the different options. Typical options would usually include rock climbing, abseiling, zip-wire, archery, high ropes and so on. Have a discussion and then hold a vote to see which adventure activity the group would like to do.

Which adventure activity will your group want to take on? If they enjoy the session, consider returning at a later date and developing those skills, or giving another activity a try.

Keeping Everyone Safe

  • Activity MUST be supervised by a leader or parent/carer at ALL times.
  • A leader or parent/carer MUST assess risk before taking part.
  • A leader or parent/carer MUST ensure that current Government guidelines are followed at all times (including social distancing, travel etc).
  • Most adventure activities will need to be delivered by a qualified instructor at a professional centre.
