Recruitment: Open To... Campaign

We are now focussed on how we prepare for returning to face-to-face activities. Of course, we must all accept that this doesn’t mean we will be able to go back to doing things how we did them before. Our new way of operating will look quite different.

England is currently operating at Stage 3

Subject to being ‘Covid-ready’ as part of BB Framework including local approval, face-to-face activities can take place indoors and outdoors. No residentials can take place. Groups can continue to offer Virtual Sessions and #BBatHOME activities where necessary to maintain regular engagement with members.

See details of operating stages in our Framework at https://boys-brigade.org.uk/ourframework/

Specific Guidance for England:

Additional guidance on returning to face-to-face activities in England includes:

Guidance What this means Date Added/Changed Further Guidance
Maximum Group Size 15 children and young people, plus leaders for both indoor and outdoor activity (although the number of leaders should be managed to keep the overall group size as small as possible).
Leaders Moving Between 'Self-contained' groups Where possible leaders are encouraged to remain in the same ‘self-contained’ group and not move between groups on the same day. Where leaders do need to move between groups this should be incorporated in your risk assessment with additional control measures in place to reduce the risk of infection spread.
Social Distancing Social distancing required across all age groups including leaders.
Face Coverings Face coverings MUST be worn by all persons aged 11+ years for indoor activities.
Band/Music Activities - Some limited Band/music activities, although still considered high risk, are possible. Please use Brass Bands England guidance.
