Recruitment: Open To... Campaign

‘I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.’ Psalm 139:14

As a Christian youth organisation The Boys’ Brigade NI District is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, friendly and inclusive environment for all children and young people. We provide training opportunities each BB session for our volunteer leaders on including children and young people with Additional Needs. Please check the events section of our Facebook page for upcoming training dates or contact us at NIHQ to request training.

We have an APP

The Boys’ Brigade Disability App is available on Apple and Android to give leaders quick access to the Additional Needs information on the go. Search for Boys’ Brigade Disability.

Autism NI

Additional

Our Additional Needs team works in partnership with Autism NI and we are delighted to have received an Impact Autism Award. Through our BB Additional Needs team we can provide help and advice to our volunteer leaders to make adjustments to the environment to help children and young people with Autism be members of BB. We have prepared a tool kit to help leaders provide appropriate and individualised service and care to those with Autism. These resources are designed to facilitate communication with parents and carers, including enabling them to feel comfortable disclosing a diagnosis of Autism.
